The COVID-19 pandemic acted as a catalyst, propelling telemedicine into the mainstream, but its impact extends far beyond the crisis, reshaping healthcare for the long term. Telemedicine leverages a variety of technologies, including video calls, mobile health apps, and secure messaging platforms, to connect patients and healthcare providers. This model enables individuals to consult with doctors, receive diagnoses, manage chronic conditions, and even access mental health services, all without the need for in-person visits. As the world becomes more digital, telemedicine is poised to revolutionize healthcare delivery by overcoming geographic, financial, and logistical barriers to care.
The growth of telemedicine
Telemedicine's growth can be attributed to several factors, including advances in technology, increased patient demand for convenience, and the need for more efficient healthcare delivery.
