Introduction to Authors

The Medical and Surgical Journal of Urology is an open access journal that publishes articles (clinical cases, editorials, general reviews and original articles) in English from all fields of urology. Submission is made exclusively on the internet (website). A notification is sent to the author as soon as possible after receipt of the article. The article will be submitted for notification to an anonymous reader for the authors. Modifications may be suggested if the article is accepted. Refusal of the article must be motivated and returned to the author.

Submission Procedure

A. Originality of the manuscript: the submitted manuscript must not have been published before or simultaneously with the publication in the journal.

B. The scientific work submitted must be approved by all the authors as well as the authorities under whose aegis it was carried out; in case of acceptance it will not be published without the written consent of the publisher.

C. Declaration of existing conflicts of interest: Authors must declare any financial or personal links they have with other persons or organisations that may influence their work.

D. The manuscript in Word format, font size 14 and 2.5 line spacing.

E. Specify the contact details of the authors (name, first name, email, affiliation), and the main author must also provide his or her P.O. box and telephone number. F. The manuscript is composed of: title, abstract and keywords, text, declaration of conflicts of interest, bibliographical references, tables and their legends, legends of figures.

The Manuscript

A. Figures (diagrams, drawings, photos) must be supplied in separate files, one file per figure. Make sure that each illustration is accompanied by a caption.

B. References are called chronologically according to the order of appearance in the text in square brackets [ ] and grouped at the end of the article, arranged in Arabic numerals.

C. Title page: The title should be concise and informative, not contain abbreviations and Short, less than 90 characters (characters and spaces).

D. First and last names of each author, as well as names and addresses of their institutions.

E. Surname, first name, postal address, telephone number and e-mail address of the corresponding author.

F. Declaration of conflict of interest.

G. Abstract and keywords: The abstract must contain less than 300 words.

H. Tables: each table is double-spaced on one page and must correspond to a call in the text.

Structuring an Article

Original articles

A. Introduction: defines the topic, briefly recalls what is known about it and the last one Paragraph clearly states the objectives of the work; verbs are at present.

B. Material and method: Clearly state the methods used (criteria of Selection of patients and control subjects, the compositions of group, statistical methodology is presented, and no results at this level.

C. Results: This section contains only results that are clearly stated and logical. There should be no methodological elements, bibliographical or discussion.

D. Discussion: examining the validity of results, performance, limitations, false diagnoses, pitfalls need to be discussed in relation to those of the literature.

E. Conclusion: It should highlight lessons learned and identify solutions to be considered.

The length of the article must be between 2500 and 7500 words and the number of references between 20 and 50.
