    Aging as an Experience of the West to the East: A Sociological Appraisal

    Industrial revolution contributed to many changes in Europe including change in demographic patterns. Such a change in population patterns gradually lowered childbirth, and increased aging population. Access to medications, hospital services, and invention of medicines for family planning, all helped in lowering childbirth. Such a change was accompanied by increasing employment of women in business and industries. So, in this way, many women could access economic independence followed by better health and longer life expectancy in Europe. Such a great change which had its origins in industries, transferred to some parts of Asia as Japan, South Korea, China, Taiwan etc., brought about a different population in these countries.
