Abstract

Treatment of Acute Myeloid Leukemia

Acute myeloid leukemia (AML) is the most common leukemia affecting adults. In this paper some chemotherapic treatments are described, including the mechanisms and chemical structure of those compounds. The best treatment consists in the mixture of a nucleotide analog and an anthracycline.
