Key Secrets in management of Implant Placement in Esthetic Zone

The art and science of osseointegrated implant has a revolutionised modern dentistry in day –to day practice. There has been an increased demand for esthetic along with the restoration for comfort and function. Implant placement in esthetic zone is complex restorative driven procedures. Proper selection of patients and implant together with individual assessment of the risk of esthetic complication are especially important. Esthetic zone is a region where expectations and possibilities collide. Several factors such as patient smile zone, presence and condition of existing soft and hard tissues, Patient healing capabilities, decisions regarding provisional and final restoration pertaining to esthetic contributes to the success of implant treatment in esthetic zone. Long –term esthetic together with functionality are an integral part of successful implant treatment outcome. It requires comprehensive preoperative clinical as well as surgical considerations for implant planning in esthetic zone based on restorative driven concept. This article describes the soft tissue and hard tissue consideration as well as few key secrets in planning for successful implant placement in esthetic zone.
