The idea of human augmentation, which was formerly the domain of science fiction, is becoming more popular as digital technology gets ingrained in our daily lives. Science fiction no longer exists for a transhumanist future in which humans create technology to overcome their biological constraints. Are we prepared for that future as artificial intelligence and machine learning continue to advance at an exponential rate?
