Waste management or Waste disposal is all the activities and actions required to manage waste from its inception to its final disposal. Waste poses a threat to public health and the environment if it is not stored, collected and disposed off properly. The perception of waste and unwanted material with no intrinsic value has dominated attitude towards disposal. This study investigates the domestic waste practices, waste disposal and perception about waste and health in relation to food poisoning in Oghara community. The benefit of this research is to assess the effect of household waste management practices and food handling on health with regards to food poisoning.
