Thyroid ailment/disease is most commonly a complication ofGraves' disease, which is a condition that affects the thyroid aswell as the skin and eyes. The thyroid is a butterfly-shaped organthat is located at the base ofThe Thyroid is a member of thesystem, which is a network of glands that emit hormones thatcontrol chemical processes (metabolism) that influence thebody's activities, as well as managing the heart rate, vital signs,and signs. Graves' disease is characterised by aberrant thyroidenlargement (goitre) and excessive endocrine output(hyperthyroidism)
