The Signaling of Survival Mediated by Growth Factors and Natural Products

Growth factors are naturally occurring substances that helps in the regulation of cellular processes. These helps in the cell maturation, cell proliferation, cellular growth etc. Growth factors are generally considered to be a protein which regulates the cellular function and determine the fate of the cells. The abnormal production and regulation of growth factors can play a key role in the progression of disease. Many growth factors are used as therapeutics. Growth factor plays an important role in the maintenance of tissue homeostasis and the wound healing. Cytokine made up of two words “cyto” meaning cell & “kinos” meaning movement. Cytokines are the cell signaling molecules that helps in the cell communication and cell movement. Cytokines are the group of proteins that are secreted by the specific cell of our system. Cytokines have the potential to be used in variety of disorder.
