This an invitation to submit your work on Covid-19 to this new Special Issue : “Drugs involved in COVID-19 Treatment

As only international multidisciplinary information, both fast and reliable, would allow medical world to face COVID-19 pandemic, we want to focus a special issue on the current outbreak.

The drugs being tested range from repurposed flu treatments to failed ebola drugs, to malaria treatments that were first developed decades ago. There are many uncertainties and disagreements among the researchers on to how a specific drug is effective on this particular virus.

The world is now desperate to find ways to slow the spread of the novel coronavirus and to find effective treatments. As of April 6, more than 200 clinical trials of COVID-19 treatments or vaccines that are either ongoing or recruiting patients.

The Health care services and researchers are engaged in numerous activities to protect and promote public health during the COVID-19 pandemic, ranging from the acceleration of development for treatments for COVID-19, maintaining and securing drug supply chains, providing guidance to manufacturers, advising developers on how to handle clinical trial issues, and keeping the public informed.

Submission Process 

  • Special issue articles can include both original unpublished research articles and review articles related to the specific theme
  • Manuscripts will be accepted for publishing in the special issue only after getting approved by the peer review committee.
  • All the articles in special issues should strictly adhere to journal style and formatting.
  • Each special issue can be created with 5-7 articles.
  • All accepted manuscripts can be submitted online via www.scholarscentral.org/submissions/gerontology-geriatric-research.html or through an email id to editor@longdom.org 
  • Submission should be accompanied by a cover letter with reference to the concerned special issue theme.
