Renal Function Test

Renal Function Tests are done to evaluate the kidney function. The mentioned are the few of the renal function tests. Blood tests like serum creatinine, glomerular filtration rate(GFR), blood urea nitrogen(BUN), urea test like urea nitrogen (BUN)provides a rough measurement of the glomerular filtration rate, the rate at which blood is filtered in the kidneys and imaging test like ultrasound, CT scan. The results of Renal Function Tests are used to assess the excretory function of the kidneys. Staging of chronic kidney disease is based on categories of GFR as well as all parts of the renal system.
