Pigmentary

Pigment dispersion syndrome is typically a bilateral disease, although asymmetry may occur. A correlation is noted between the amount of pigment lost from the posterior surface of the iris, increased degree of pigmentation in the trabecular meshwork, and degree of dysfunction in the trabecular meshwork as evidenced by elevation of the intraocular pressure (IOP).
