Ocular Infection

Virus, bacteria, fungi and parasites invade the eyes in the same way as they invade the human body and cause the various eye infections. Conjunctivitis is the most common type of eye infection which is also known as pinkeye. Viral conjunctivitis being the most contagious and infectious spreads rapidly in the population. Damage to retina, formation of ulcers and scars in the retina leading to permanent loss of vision are some of the serious complications due to ocular infections.
