Bioactive Compounds

A substance has an organic activity if it consumes direct effects on a living organism. These effects can both be contrary or advantageous contingent on the substance, the dose or the bioavailability. The term bioactive compound or component is usually only linked with positive effects on an organism. Bioactive compounds consist of chemicals that are found in small volumes in plants and particular foods such as fruits, vegetables, nuts, oils and whole grains. Bioactive compounds journal emphasis the fields of geo-medicine, plant science, modern pharmacology, agrochemicals, cosmetics, food industry, Nano-bio-science... etc. They have movements in the body that can promote good health. In plants, nutrients are not usually comprised in the term “plant bioactive compound”. Usually, bioactive plant compounds are produced as secondary metabolites that are not essential for the daily functioning of the plant (such as growth), but play a significant role in the competition, defense, attraction and signaling. Bioactive compounds in the plants can be specified as secondary plant metabolites eliciting pharmacological or toxicological effects in humans and animals.
