A total of 11018 people, aged 18+ years old were selected from 11 communities in Jianye district of, Nanjing through multi-stage stratified cluster sampling; a face-to-face questionnaire survey and health examination was conducted. Cohen's Kappa and Bland-Altman plots were used for reliability analyses. The awareness of height, weight, waist circumference (WC) and BMI were 91.1%, 90.4%, 54.5% and 88.9%, respectively. Body height was significantly (P<0.001) over-reported by 0.47 cm. WC was significantly (P<0.001) under-reported by 0.39 cm. BMI was significantly (P<0.001) under-reported by 0.14 kg/m2. The concordance between measured and self-reported BMI categories was excellent (κ=0.847). For all anthropometric data, fewer than 10% of subjects were out of 95% limits of agreement. The concordance between self-reported and measured height, weight WC and BMI among Nanjing urban population was good.
