Dr. Janet Brewer is a legal scholar and researcher who serves as Director of the Institute for Indigenous People’s Rights, a non-profit corporation dedicated to research and education as to the impact of biotechnological advancements upon indigenous people and culture. Dr. Brewer previously taught law at the University of Manchester, United Kingdom where she served as a member of the Institute for Law, Economics & Global Governance, the Institute of Medicine, Law & Bioethics, and the Center for Social Ethics & Policy.
