Dr. Jaehyung Cho has received his PhD in Molecular and Cellular Pharmacology from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, Madison, WI during the period of 2006. Currently, he is an Assistant Professor in University of Illinois. He holds a Membership in International Society on Thrombosis and Haemostasis and American Heart Association etc. Recently in 2009 he was crowned with Young Investigator Scholar Award during 4th Annual Platelet Colloquium, Washington, DC.
My long-term career goal is to understand the molecular mechanisms by which thrombosis and inflammation are initiated at the site of vascular injury and to elucidate how both diseases are inter-connected. In addition, we are working on the role of thiol isomerases and protein kinases in regulating the heterotypic platelet-neutrophil interactions during thrombus formation and vascular inflammation
