Biography

Doctor of Philosophy from department of biotechnology, Punjabi university Patiala, under the supervision of Dr. Baljinder kaur, Associate Professor Department of Biotechnology Punjabi university Patiala and Dr. Parveen p balgir , Professor Department of Biotechnology Punjabi university Patiala. She have strong background of instrumentation analysis. She has been imparting theoretical and practical training on advanced analytical techniques on modern and sophisticated instruments planned the training programs and successfully conducted. That has developed a skill in me to face any challange related to instruments whether that is a interpretation part or analysis part, I am aware of all types of applications part of the instruments. Independently conducted hands on practical trainings on instruments like HPLC, GC and AAS. Covered theoretical and practical aspects of the instruments, in National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research, Mohali as Laboratory Supervisor under Capacity Building Project funded by World Bank sponsored by Ministry of Health and Family Welfare. Also worked as project scientist as project scientist in SMPIC. She has numerous international publications of research and review articles in high impact Journals. She has contributed a number of research articles for International and National Conferences, Editorial Articles for the esteemed Journals. She is associated as an active member in scientific associations. she is member of Advisory Board, Editorial Board and Acknowledged reviewer of many International Scientific Journals. Worked on a novel protein and its characterization. Isolation of Bacteriocin producing strains of lactic acid bacteria from vaginal swabs of healthy and fecund females and evaluated for their antimicrobial activity against pathogens causing important human diseases such as bacterial vaginosis, gastrointestinal infections, nosocomial and skin diseases. Therapeutic application of this probiotic strain to protect against gastrointestinal infections may be of great importance for future medicinal use. Selected strain is being suggested here as a candidate strain for formulating topical personal care therapeutics aimed at prevention and treatment of many human diseases especially bacterial vaginosis.
