Anke-Hilse Maitland-van der Zee (1975) received a MSc in Pharmacy (1998), and a PharmD (1999) degree from Groningen University, the Netherlands. After that she undertook a PhD on the Pharmacogenetics of statins at Utrecht University, the Netherlands in 2003. She was post-doc at the University of Texas, School of Public Health, Human Genetics Center, Houston Tx, USA from 2003-2005. In 2005 was was appointed as assistant Professor Pharmacogenetics/genomics at Utrecht University. She is the chair of the European Research Network of Pharmacogenetics/genomics, the Netherlands Network of Pharmacogenetics, and she is co-chairing the FIP (International Federation of Pharmacy) special interest group on Individualized Medicine.
