Biography

In 1996, Dr. Andres received his MD degree in Internal Medicine, at the University of Strasbourg, France. He worked as an associated professor in the University Hospital of Strasbourg, France. In 1998 he worked as PhD in Molecular Biology in the Laboratory of Professor Hoffmann (2011, Nobel Prize of Medicine) in the field of cationic antimicrobial peptides and pathogens - host relations. In 2002, he was nominated Professor at the University of Strasbourg, France. He also was in the head of an Internal Medicine Department (of >60 beads) in the University hospital of Strasbourg, France. He was awarded the French Society of Haematology, price for research in the field of anaemia related to cobalamin or folate deficiencies in 2004. Achievements include development of research in: all type of anaemia, neutropenia and thrombocytopenia, particularly drug-induced neutropenia and agranulocytosis or thrombocytopenia; haematopoietic growth factors; and cobalamin deficiencies. His recent works also include research and development on human sounds analysis, electronic stethoscope, e-auscultation, and e-medicine. In that function he was recruited as advisor to several pharmaceutical companies or start-up. In 2007, He was nominated in the French National Commission of Pharmacovigilence.

Biography

Dr. John Meletis was born in Desfina, Greece, on 1946. MD Athens University Medical School 1970. University assistant 1978-1981, Senior Registrar 1981-1983, Senior Lecturer 1983-1988. Diplomate Greek Board of Medicine 1978 and of the Greek Board of Hematology 1981, Ph.D. in 1981. From 1984-1987 in France Univerite Paris VII University Assistant of Ecole de Medicine Lariboisier-Saint Louis. Assistant Professor 1989-1995, Associate Professor 1995-2009. 2010 Professor of Internal Medicine and Hematology, 2011 Head Hematology Department and Bone Marrow Transplantation Unit of Athens University School of Medicine.

President of National Committee and Member of the International Committee of Index Copernicus and Member of the Morphology Faculty Leukemianet Morphology Project and Member of the Second Morphology Consensus Study I of the European Morphology Faculty for harmonizing cell terms. He received five First Awards for best work in hematology (National and European).

Ulrich Mahlknecht is Director of the Jose Carreras Research Center for Immunotherapy and Gene Therapy, Saarland University Medical School, Department of Internal Medicine. Director, Molecular Medicine Competence Center (KoMM), Saarland University President of the “Clinical Epigenetics Society (ClEpSo)” Full Professor of Internal Medicine, Saarland University Medical Center since 2007 Associate Professor of Internal Medicine, University of Heidelberg Medical Center, Dept. of Hematology/Oncology Assistant Professor at the Johann Wolfgang Goethe University of Frankfurt Medical Center. He has received his PhD from the State University of New York in Molecular Medicine, 1996-1999. He has received his MD degree from the University of Tubingen in Germany in 1995 Joachim Kuhlmann AIDS-Award (2001). Graduate Stipend of the Novartis Foundation for therapeutic research (2001). He received Clinical Science Award 2004 of the German Society for Immunotherapy. He is serving as Editor-in-Chief or as an editorial board member of 5 journals and reviewer of 20 journals.
