    Background: Increasing amount of solid waste is being generated as a result of rapid rate of urbanization and economic growth. This in turn presents greater difficulties for waste disposal. The problem is more acute in developing countries where the pace of urbanization is faster. Urbanization introduces society to a new, modern way of life, an improved level of awareness, new skills, a learning process, and so on. Objective: The main objective of this study is to assess the household solid waste management and hygienic practice in Yebu town, Jimma Zone, Oromia Region, south west Ethiopia from Feb to April, 2018.
