Biography

Zhila Khalkhali-Ellis has received her PhD in Biochemistry from University of London, United Kingdom. Currently, she is working as Research Associate Professor at Stanley Manne Children’s Research Institute, affiliated with Northwestern University. Her research spans from arthritis related work to breast cancer and currently melanoma. She is keenly interested in studying mammary gland development and remodeling, and believes it could provide vital clues in the development and progression of breast cancer.
