    High Risk Factors of Cardiovascular Diseases in Type 2 Diabetes

    Diabetes mellitus is a group of metabolic diseases characterized by hyperglycemia and hypoglycemia that result from defects in insulin secretion. The prevalence of type 2 diabetes mellitus is rapidly increasing all over the world. Cardiovascular disease (coronary heart disease, stroke, Myocardial infarction) is the most important cause of mortality and morbidity among patients with type 2 diabetes. The accelerated Atherosclerosis and cardiovascular disease in diabetes is likely to be multifactorial and therefore several therapeutic approaches can be considered.
