Shariful Islam currently works at San Fernando Teaching Hospital and attached with the Department of Clinical Surgical Sciences, the University of the West Indies, Trinidad and Tobago. He is a Clinical fellow in Oncoplastic Breast Surgery. He does research in all aspect of Surgery with special interest in Breast cancer. Their current project is acute pancreatitis; Advanced breast cancer, Mammography, DU perforation, fistula in ano, Hernia surgery etc
