Biography
Dr Seppo Yla-Herttuala MD, PhD is Professor of Molecular Medicine for A.I. Virtanen Institute for Molecular Sciences and Department of Medicine, University of Kuopio, Kuopio, Finland. Dr Yla-Herttuala is an Internationally Recognized Leader in cardiovascular gene therapy. He has conducted nine phases I-III clinical trials with vectors produced in his laboratory and has served as President of the European Society of Gene and Cell Therapy (2010-2012).
