Biography

Dr. Peter U. Fischer is a medical parasitologist at Washington University in St. Louis, and perform research on neglected tropical diseases, especially helminth infections. Peter's basic and translational laboratory research interests include bacteria-helminth interactions, genomics, and the development of novel diagnostics for helminths. Although Dr. Peter research is mostly oriented towards application in the field, I especially enjoy getting more insight into the biology of parasites.
