The Relationship between Head-Nurse’s Managerial Skills and Nurses’ Turnover Intention in Private Hospitals

Background: Nurses` Turnover Intention is one the most important problems of human recourses management in a hospital setting. Aim: To determine the relationship of head nurse’s managerial skills and nurse employees’ turnover intention in Tehran private hospitals. Materials and Methods: The population of this study includes the whole nurses of Tehran private hospitals (N= 10.000). The samples has been considered 370 people based on Morgan table sampling. Cluster method has been used in this study. Firstly, Tehran has been divided into 5 zones (areas) of north, south, east, west and centre. Then, 3 hospitals have been chosen randomly in each zone (area) and 30 questionnaires were distributed among the nurses in accessible and available manner in each hospital and then they were collected.
