Biography

Starting with high quality clinical data on relapses, I use computer simulation to study cancer growth after primary surgery. We have found that over half of all relapses are triggered somehow by primary surgery . A recent development is that a perioperative NSAID may reduce early relapses by 5 fold. See publications in 2012-2017 especially a book I edited with Romano Demicheli that was published by Springer-Nature in July 2017 titled "Perioperative Inflammation as Triggering Origin of Metastasis Development".
