Biography

Francesca Marini is Assistant Professor of archival studies at the School of Library, Archival and Information Studies of the University of British Columbia. Educated as an archivist at the School of Archival Science, Paleography, and Diplomatics of the Modena State Archives, Italy, she holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Theatre Studies (University of Bologna, Italy) and a PhD in Library and Information Science (University of California, Los Angeles). From 1999–2004 she worked for the two main international electronic records/digital preservation projects InterPARES 1 and ERPANET.
