Biography
Brian is a pasture weed specialist with numerous publications in high ranking journals. He has, with his students, led Australian research into the ecology and management of over a dozen different weed species including fireweed (Senecio madagascariensis), serrated tussock (Nassella trichotoma), Chilean needle grass (Nassella neesiana), Coolatai grass (Hypparhenia hirta), saffron thistle (Carthamus lanatus), feathertop wiregrass (Aristida latifolia), and lippia (Phyla canescens). His research experience spans the rural industries, having successfully conducted weed research programs for MLA, AWI, GRDC, LWA, DAFF, RIRDC, CRDC, HAL and NHT, as well as the Cotton and Weed CRCs.
