Biography

Dr. Krishna Kumar is presently a clinical professor and head of the department of pediatric cardiology at the Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences and Research Centre, Cochin. He completed his postgraduate training in cardiology from the AIMS, New Delhi. He then underwent fellowship training in pediatric cardiology from Children’s Hospital Boston, USA. After returning to India, he helped establish the pediatric heart program at the Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences in 1998 where he is the professor and head of department. Under his leadership, the department acquired international reputation in quality of clinical services, research and training.
