Vandervoort is Professor in School of Physical Therapy and also Faculty of Health Sciences, University of Western Ontario, Elborn College, Canada.Research Interest Measurement of neuromuscular performance and related muscle contractile properties in older adults Investigating the benefits of high-resistance exercise programs for improving muscular strength and function in this population, which includes sport-specific injury prevention such as for golf Application of these findings to rehabilitation programs for older adults with mobility impairment (muscles of the lower limb are my usual models of investigation for this area of research).
