Biography

Andreas M. Kaufmann is a biologist working in translational medicine. He is interested in human papillomavirus screening and immunology. In his lab HPV prevalence studies and vaccine development against HPV / cervical cancer is done and are performing several population based prevalence studies in Germany and are just starting an initiative in Ghana. With colleagues he is developing and validating new HPV test methods for onsite use and use in low resource countries.
