Tiziana Cocco and Sergio Papa

This paper is a concise overview of molecular targets whose attack can contribute to improve the therapy of Parkinson’s disease. Particular attention is given to the merits of gene therapy and to the information that can be acquired, studying the hereditary forms of PD, on the pathogenetic mechanisms of Parkinsonism and putative targets for new therapeutical measures.
